I just finished reading Worth the Wait by LauraJackson. It is a wonderful, young adult
novel and the first book in the Waltham Academy series. It is a delightful book about Ellie (Eleanor
Lansing). Ellie has been dating Dylan
for a few years. Their mothers were
pregnant together and always imagined the two of them dating, falling in love,
and getting married. Ellie has gone
along with her parent’s expectations with Dylan and her life. But things are about to change for Ellie and
the future that she has mapped out for herself. Ellie finds out that Dylan has been cheating
on her, her mother develops breast cancer, and finds out that there is no such
thing as perfect. Ellie goes through a
rough time, but she grows closer to God and starts finding out who Ellie is
without Dylan. I enjoyed this novel
immensely and was sorry for it to end. I
look forward to reading Laura Jackson’s next book (which I hope is out real
soon). I received a free copy of this
