My Thoughts
Falling for the Rodeo Cowgirl by Cari Lynn Webb is finer than a new rope on branding day. The story takes us to Three Springs, Texas. This is the author’s the second book in the Three Springs, Texas Romance series, but it can be read on its own. Hank Hopson, veterinarian, and vet tech, Gwen Bayer have a meet cute when Gwen has trouble getting her tricked out fifth wheel into her assigned space at the campground. The pair have a lot in common, but they will need to alter their future plans if they are to have a happily ever after. My favorite character is Hank’s son, Henry. He is adorable and I enjoyed his interactions with Gwen. Henry will certainly keep Hank on his toes. I did feel that there was too much internal dialogue from the main characters and there were repetitive details. I thought the scene with Gwen, Hank, Henry, and two members of Hank’s family trying to get Chunk, the cat, out from under Hank’s trailer was cute and amusing (had me grinning). Falling for the Rodeo Cowgirl will leave you grinning like a possum eating a sweet potato.
Falling for the Rodeo Cowgirl is available from Amazon*. The first book in A Three Springs, Texas Romance series is Kissing the Texas Ranger. The third book will be out on July 28 and it is titled A Cowboy to Call Her Own. You can find Cari Lynn Webb's other books on this page. I appreciate you joining me today. Due to a bad fall, I am taking the rest of the week off. Thankfully, I did not break any bones (lots of bruises, sore hip, and a sprained wrist). The worst part was trying to get off the floor (my feet did not want to cooperate). Resting on the couch will give me extra time to read (a bonus).
I will return on Tuesday, February 17 with Hope Even After by Heather Greer. The weather is beautiful (mid 70s during the day) and I hope it is the same for you. May you be blessed with a wonderful weekend. Take care and Happy Reading!
