The Single Mom's Second Chance by Tara Randel

 The Single Mom's Second Chance
Book Summary

A fresh start…

Then an unexpected curveball

When Addie Lane returns to Golden, Georgia, to open her own fitness center, she’s surprised to find her late husband’s best friend, professional baseball player Nolan Travers, offering to invest. Recovering from an injury, Nolan finds solace in helping a friend—and coaching her son Jacob’s baseball team. As the summer continues, their close bond threatens to be undone by Nolan’s expected return to pro ball and Addie’s challenging relationships with her mother and sisters. Only time will tell if their separate paths will pull them apart—or if Addie and Nolan can hit their love out of the park together.

My Thoughts

The Single Mom’s Second Chance by Tara Randel is a cute story.  I liked that Addie stepped up to the plate (I couldn’t resist) to coach her son’s baseball team.  Nolan, a friend and a professional baseball player, is a charmer, but he is going through a rough patch.  Nolan is just who Addie needs to help get the team in shape and achieve the team’s goal of going to the playoffs.  I loved Jacob.  He is a sweet kid who obviously looks up to Nolan.  I liked Addie’s sisters and mother.  Addie is grieving the loss of her father which brings up old resentments.  Addie is realizing her dream of opening a fitness center in Golden, Georgia and Nolan is going to be her partner.  It is a balanced story (baseball practices, business planning, time with family, community events, and romance).  Forgiveness, secrets, family bonds, and moving forward are a few of the themes.  The Single Mom’s Second Chance was a lovely way to while away a rainy afternoon.

The Single Mom’s Second Chance can be obtained from Amazon*. The first A Golden, Georgia Romance is  The Surprise Next Door.  The third A Golden, Georgia Romance will be The Hometown Cop's Forever Family and it will be out on April 28 (preorder on Amazon). You can find Tara Randel's other novels here.  Thank you for stopping by today.  On Wednesday, February 11, I am featuring Falling for the Rodeo Cowgirl by Cari Lynn Webb.  I hope that you have a positive day. I am enjoying the warmer weather (I will take 60s over 40s any day). I am off to an appointment. I hope that I do not get lost this time.  The office is a tad challenging to find even with GPS (it never takes me the same way twice and last time it told me to turn the wrong way down a one way street). Wish me luck!  Take care and Happy Reading!
