A Killer's Target by Dana R. Lynn

A Killer's Target
Book Summary

Taking refuge in Amish country
may be her only chance to survive…

After nearly being kidnapped at a crime scene, forensic photographer Leila Britton discovers the serial killer who murdered her twin sister has resurfaced—with Leila as his next intended victim. With her life and her daughter’s future at stake, Leila must place her trust in Lieutenant Brett Talbot to protect them. But danger follows them relentlessly, forcing them to seek refuge deep in Amish country. However safety is fleeting, and the killer seems to know every step she takes. Can Leila and Brett unmask the killer before he fulfills his ultimate goal—and Leila runs out of places to hide?
My Thoughts

A Killer’s Target by Dana R. Lynn grabbed my attention from the very first page and kept me up late, eagerly flipping pages to see how everything would unfold. The action begins right away and carries strong momentum throughout the story, creating a fast-paced blend of danger, suspense, and mystery. I enjoyed watching Leila Britton and Brett Talbot work together to uncover the truth, and the growing romance between them added warmth and heart to the tension.

Leila’s daughter, Evie, was absolutely adorable and brought an extra touch of sweetness to the story. With plenty of twists, high-stakes moments, and a satisfying feel-good ending, A Killer’s Target is an engaging suspense novel that left me smiling. This is the kind of page-turner that delivers thrills, heart, and hope all the way to the final chapter.

If you’re in the mood for a suspenseful read, A Killer’s Target is now available on Amazon, along with the author’s other novels. If you haven’t started the Amish Country Danger series yet, you can begin with Amish Midwife Witness—and there’s more to look forward to! The next installment, The Marshal’s Key Witness, releases on November 24. Also, mark your calendar for August 4, when I’ll be a stop on the Great Escapes Virtual Book Tours for Seeking the Kidnapped Child by Deena Alexander. Wishing you a day filled with laughter, love, and a cozy stack of books waiting nearby. Until next time—keep turning pages and chasing great stories!

From Love Inspired Suspense: Courage. Danger. Faith.
My Thoughts

Amish Midwife Witness by Dana R. Lynn is an action-packed tale.  I was quickly drawn into the story, and my interest was held until I turned the last page.  The action made it lively, with added mystery and suspense.  Someone was determined to capture Vanessa (they were relentless).  Pregnant Amish woman near their due date were not safe.  Vanessa and Carter were likable, realistic, and relatable characters. They both have romantic baggage which kept them from pursuing the chemistry between them.  The constant threats to their lives and their perilous journey may overcome their fears (you will have to read it to find out).  The characters face dangers that test their courage, and the epilogue provides closure. The story also touches on a sensitive topic that may be a trigger for some individuals.  Amish Midwife Witness is a page turner with a fatal phone call, abducted babies, battling bullets, car crashes, fierce flames, romantic chemistry, and a critical rescue.

Amish Midwife Witness is available from Amazon*.  The second book in the Amish Country Danger series is A Killer's Target which will be out on July 28, 2026.  You can find Dana R. Lynn's other books here.  If you follow Dana R. Lynn on Amazon, they will send you an email when she has a new book release.  Thank you for  stopping by today.  On Tuesday, December 2, I am a stop on the Celebrate Lit Blog Tour for A Daughter's Choice by Kelly Irvin. It is the tenth book in The Heart of the Amish series.  I am still hunting for that pumpkin pie recipe.  I know I left it in the kitchen (somewhere).  If I did not find it, I will search for a similar recipe online.  When I was a teen, I would have needed to search cookbooks.  I hope that all of you have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

My Thoughts

Hunting the Amish Witness by Dana R. Lynn is a fast-paced, suspenseful story.  I liked Miriam and Caleb.  I was rooting for these resilient, well-crafted characters to survive.  I liked seeing the characters grow in character and faith.  There was danger, tension, and action which kept things lively.  There is a touch of romance as well.  There was a thread of faith stitched through the story.  I was very pleased that the author included an epilogue.  Hunting the Amish Witness is the twentieth book in the Amish Country Justice series.  Each book in the series can be read on its own.  Hunting the Amish Witness is a page turner with a car wreck, disremembered memories, a corrupt killer, a blast from the past, a beloved baby, and a second chance romance.

Protecting the Amish Child by Dana R. Lynn

 Protecting the Amish Child
Book Summary

A killer in pursuit…

and a little boy’s life is at stake.

When Francesca Brown discovers a dead body, bullets start flying her way. Soon FBI agent Tanner Hall arrives—only to find an autistic Amish boy hiding nearby. As a witness to a crime, it’s clear someone will stop at nothing to silence the little boy—permanently. With assailants on their trail, can Fran and Tanner unravel a lethal conspiracy before the murderer strikes again?

My Thoughts

Protecting the Amish Child by Dana R. Lynn is a story that grabs your attention right away.  I liked Francesca Brown and Tanner Hall.  They are realistic with flaws and struggles.  Francesca is a brave woman and I admired Tanner unwavering faith.  I felt for the autistic Amish boy.  I could imagine how scared he was not knowing what was happening and losing the one person that he did know under such violent circumstances.  I liked how Francesca connected with him.  I loved the mystery, suspense, and action which kept things lively.  While Protecting the Amish Child is the nineteenth book in the Amish Country Justice series, it can be read as a standalone.  I enjoyed reading Protecting the Amish Child which is a heartwarming and gripping tale filled with danger, mystery, and action.

Protecting the Amish Child is available from Amazon*.  You can find the other novels in the Amish Country Justice series here.  Check out Dana R. Lynn's other novels.  Thank you for stopping by today.  I am featuring Fugitive Search by Dana Mentink tomorrow.  It is the second book in the Security Hounds Investigation series.  There will be a giveaway!  I am off to run a couple of errands. I am able to get most items delivered, but there are a couple of places that do not offer delivery (and there is one item that cannot be delivered).  I go out one afternoon a month to get the tasks completed (my mother cannot be left alone for long and she does not wish to come with me).  I hope that you have an uplifting day.  Take care and Happy Reading!

Amish Witness to Murder by Dana R. Lynn

 Amish Witness to Murder

Book Summary

To identify her father’s killer…

she must stay alive

After finding her family’s barn in flames and witnessing her father’s murder, Beth Troyer becomes the killer’s next target. She narrowly escapes death when the murderer turns on her, but now she’s left temporarily blind. She’ll have to rely on former family friend Gideon Bender to keep her safe until her eyesight returns. But with a killer who’ll stop at nothing to find her, staying alive might just be impossible…

My Thoughts

Amish Witness to Murder by Dana R. Lynn is a story that holds your attention.  I thought the book was well written with developed characters.  I felt for Beth who witnessed the murder of her father and has been left temporarily blind.  She needs to rely on others for help and to keep her safe.  I enjoyed the suspense and mystery as well as twists and turns.  I was up late eager to find out the identity of the guilty party.  Gideon was determined to keep Beth safe.  Of course, some people have trouble accepting help.  Gideon’s family is a boisterous, loving bunch.  They were delightful.  Amish Witness to Murder is the eighteenth novel in the Amish Country Justice series.  It can be read as a standalone. Amish Witness to Murder moves along at a quick pace.  The story was over far too soon.  Amish Witness to Murder is a compelling tale with a lost loved one, a tenacious killer, fiery flames, deficient vision, and a struggle to survive.

Amish Witness to Murder can be obtained from Amazon* along with the other novels in the Amish Country justice series (see list below).  Protecting the Amish Child is the 19th novel in the Amish Country Justice series and it will be out on August 20 (I cannot wait to read it). If you follow Dana R. Lynn on Amazon, they will email you when she has a new book release.  Thank you for dropping by today.  Tomorrow I am featuring Unforgiven by Shelley Shepard Gray.  It is a must read story.  I hope that you have an uplifting day.  Take care and Happy Reading!

Excerpt

There was a thud in the back of the haus, followed by loud footsteps tromping to the closed doorway of the den. Whoever had fired that shot might be heading her way.

Now!

Finally pulling the door open, Molly threw herself out of the haus and raced down the doorway, ignoring the pain in her weak leg. The door had barely clicked shut when it burst open again.

“You!” the angry voice thundered behind her. It was the man who’d been shouting at Terry. Had he shot Terry or Nancy? How close was he? She didn’t take the time to look over her shoulder. A gun barked and a bullet thunked into a tree a foot away from her. She’d been right to leave. She had to find someone who could help.
