A Christmas Bond by Lee McClain is a lovely Christian,
Christmas story. Annie Bauer has gone
home for Christmas to help her grandmother.
Her grandmother is getting on in years and refuses to leave her home
despite the decline in her neighborhood.
John Moretti, a war hero, has opened a boys’ residential school next
door to Annie’s grandmother. Annie is
worried about her grandmother being next to these juvenile delinquents (Annie’s
term). Annie and her sister were the
victims of a horrible crime and her sister paid the price with her life. During the Christmas season Annie gets to
know the boys and changes her mind about them.
Annie and John must overcome their pasts in order to enjoy the future
together. I enjoyed reading this
heartwarming, Christmas novella and look forward to learning what happens to
the boys from residential school in Lee McClain’s future books. Please note that I was provided a free copy
