Good Day! I hope everyone is enjoying their "vacation" at home. Here are a couple of upcoming releases that I am looking forward to reading. On a Coastal Breeze by Suzanne Woods Fisher releases May 5. It is the second tale in Three Sisters Island series. A Study in Murder by Callie Hutton is the debut of A Victorian Book Club Mystery series and will be out on May 12. To Kill a Mocking Girl by Harper Kincaid is also out on May 12. It is the start of A Book Binder Mystery series. Is there an upcoming release you cannot wait to read?
Daybreak by Vannetta Chapman has Nora
Brooks and Randall Goodwin of the Cyber Division Squad in Seattle,
Washington. Unfortunately, they are not there
to enjoy the beautiful April weather or Pike Place Market. Nora believes the murder of Miguel Garcia is
linked to some suspicious activity. Cruise
ships by the dozens are docked in Seattle and have been for the last week. Nora has Randall do a little online sleuthing
while she tracks down some leads. They
soon find themselves on the trail of a criminal who has a deadly agenda. Daybreak by Vannetta Chapman is the third
novel in the Cyber Division series. It
can be read as a standalone, but I like how this series of books works together
(a complete picture). I dived into Daybreak and quickly finished it.
I like the strong characters in this
story. Nora is the serious one in the
partnership and dedicated to her job.
Randall loves computer code, is a snappy dresser, and loves his work as
well. I enjoy Nora’s thoughts on Randall’s
expensive wardrobe. They add a lightness
to the story. Nora and Randall
immediately dive into the investigation and follow the various leads. I found the story to be fast paced and
intense. I found Daybreak to be well-written
and engaging. The story was realistic and suspenseful. I look forward to reading the next Cyber Division novel. Daybreak is a dynamic story with cyber
criminals, a smirking suspect, curious code, boat bedlam, and a mysterious
murder.
Daybreak is out today and available from Amazon*. The first two novels in the Cyber Division series are Fading into the Night and Midnight Strike. Thank you for joining me today. I will be back tomorrow with my review of Dead on the Vine by Elle Brooke White. It is the debut of A Finn Family Farm Mystery series. I hope you have a pleasant day. Take care, stay safe and Happy Reading!

Thanks, but... not sure this one is for me.
ReplyDeleteIt is not everyone's cup of tea. I like mysteries and crime type books. If you prefer historical novels, check out The Lost Orphan by Stacey Halls.
