Star Struck in Willow Falls by Pat Nichols is a sweet, heartwarming story.
A film crew is coming to Willow Falls.
Rachel and Emily are working as liaisons between the director and the
town. Rachel’s wedding plans take a
different route when she learns what it means to get married in a small
town. Emily’s first book is ready, and she
is having her book signing. Will Willow
Falls survive an invasion from a movie crew? I found the story easy to read
thanks to the authors conversational writing style. I liked the characters which seemed realistic
and relatable with my favorite being Sadie.
I thought the author captured the small town feel with the setting, the
characters, the people’s behavior, and attitudes. There is humor scattered throughout the story. The author captured what it was like for a
film crew to invade a small town. I
would not want to have been Rachel or Emily trying to keep everyone happy. I especially enjoyed the ending. Star Struck in Willow Falls is the third book
in the Willow Falls series, and I believe it is best to read this series in
order. Star Struck in Willow Falls has drama,
humor, romance, family, and friendship in one charming tale.

Excerpt
“That
won’t keep everyone from bugging us. Uh oh.” Emily pointed to the mail truck
pulling into a parking space in front of the Willow Post headquarters. “The
temperature
in
here is about to heat up ten degrees.”
Mary
huffed. “Try twenty.”
Mirabelle
clutched a newspaper in her right hand, her lips pinched. She stormed into the
office. “How long have you known about this?” She slammed the paper on the
table in front of Emily and drummed her finger on the headline. “Director
Selects Willow Falls to Film Feature-Length Movie. Did you keep it a secret
to give your sister an advantage?”
