Paranormal Keepers

Paranormal Keepers by Jen Naumann is a paranormal romance and mystery novel.  Harper Young was out with her friends and her boyfriend, Gavin at the local cemetery to hold a séance.  Jess, a friend of Harper’s, asks Harper to help her with the Ouija board.  Things start to happen to Harper after touching the planchette.  She starts seeing strange shadow figures and hearing whispers.  Harper starts researching all things paranormal to try and get answers.  When Harper and Gavin are out together one evening, something attacks Gavin.  Gavin ends up dead and Harper is devastated. 

Harper is now a social outcast (and people think she murdered Gavin)!  On the first day of her junior year, she hears about a girl that was attacked.  It sounds paranormal and she goes to investigate.  Her life will never be the same again.  Harper meets Sofia and is transported to Guardare Academy.  Harper finds out that unearthly (supernatural).  Harper will finally start to get the answers she has been seeking but what will it cost her.  Who can Harper trust and why is everyone looking at her like they want to kill her?

I give Paranormal Keepers 3.75 out of 5.  It is nicely written, but it is not outstanding (or different from other paranormal romance books).  I liked Paranormal Keepers, but I kept hoping for more.  Please be aware that this book is written in the first person.  I think this book could have been outstanding with just a little more work.
